Please don’t bite the newbie!
I was asked by good friend he’s one of the silliest & goofiest people I know! If I may add that,lol to list some blogging tips as he has just decided to start a blog.As a good friend,I encouraged him to consult google instead.haha I probably been blogging for around three years but this doesn’t make me a blog expert.See,I’m no expert on anything except on silliness and making babies:)
But seriously friend,here are my few tips that MIGHT enlighten you a bit.
1.)As we always say ‘free is always the best price’ but I’d rather suggest that you acquire your own domain name.The reason is obvious!If you have your own website then you are in control.Free web hosting can be risky.What if they decide to close down their website or delete all your entries?There’s no way you can fight for it because you have no right in the first place anyway.Believe me, it did happen to my first blog in 2004 hosted by *toottoot*. They demanded extortion money in exchange for my blog entries.Haha Very Funny! I maybe stupid but not stupid enough to pay them.
This is a blatant plug hoping to get a discount on my next renewal,hehe jk BTW,do check Beng’s BeSeen Hosting scheme.I’m shamelessly plugging here to simply tell you how satisfied I have been as a customer.*bow* 
2.) Forget about ‘I will scratch your back if you will scratch mine’ commenting philosophy.I cannot really say it makes a lot of sense to my blogging experience.The best way is to have that ‘initiative’ to leave comments. Hey common,they won’t bite you if you do! Scratch their back and they’ll probably scratch yours when the time comes.If people not returning the favor!
Don’t get furious !Move on,there are thousands of blogs out there deserves your time & attention.
3.)Avoid writing lengthy,novel-like entries in your blog. This will bore me & other people to death. Besides,I’ve got more than 100 blogsites waiting my visit,dozens of new books to read,huge pile of laundry to iron and a cranky husband on bed,lol
Keep it simple and readable!Period!:)
4.)Don’t go out there and beg ask around to be linked to their blogsites.How would you react or feel if one or two of them ignore your request?I’m not so sure though if it’s a totally bad idea but I’d not recommend this.It can be one of the worst feeling in the world if you got rejected or ignored and the thought why you got ignored is even worse.I don’t usually ask this,exchange links? If I like a blog or blogger,I’d just add her/him promptly without any hesitation but sometimes I’d ask the blogowner if it’s alrighty to add her/his URL to my blogroll.I never get NO so far.
5.)Stay away from the rigid blogger/s who never use smileys,hehe,haha,lol after the word funny.This can only mean one thing.They’re not goofy like you:D
There you have it my friend and to that person who just came here awhile ago thru google looking for “pinay sorcery mangkukulam“ I hope you found something useful here. hahaha

I was laughing when I was reading your entry. Trulili, when I started, I was sorta like this. Some readers asks for advice, I’d post my advice, they say thank you, i say you’re welcome.
Then it went over the grapevine and that was my blog theme. Pretty soon, I guess everybody were not a millionaire and never asked for any more advice or that they went bankcrupt with my advice. Well, whatever it is, they did not come back.
And so I got sucked into writing what my brains has been spurting.
One here
Two there
Comments here
Comments there
Until people started pelting me once I write something that they don’t like. Now, people call me names. They even put me on the retarded column now. HAHAHA
So now, I have evolved. My blog evolved. My topics evolved.
And I learned a great story. That I will tell you.
Here’s the story.
Make sure you can defend what you write, because sooner or later, someone from the bright bulalakaw will come down and cuss you like crazy, call you names and spit on you.
Be prepared to stood up like one great divine powers with beautiful makeup and hair. Don’t lose your cool.
That’s all what reyna can advise you my dear child.
Keep writing. The funnier, the crazier, the better.

i should add that a blogger should be witty,too to avoid boredom of readers and post pics to add spices
and yes,a good blogger must be researchful by putting links on their posts.
at most of all,kelangan laging may update at di mawala sa blogosphere nang matagal..(ouchhhhh)…LOL!

Cheh, you are right. The blogs that use smileys, “hehe”, LOL, etc. are one of the funner blogs out there. uhh… hehe. That’s probably why I can never be a serious journalist — they’re not allowed to use smileys.

Honestly, different folks, different strokes. Lately, parang gusto ko ng alisin ang iba sa blogroll ko, “Hello buhay ka pa ba”?
For your #1, thank you for the offer, I’ve been there na rin, on my own, enjoyed it, frozen sometimes, spams eating my money that I pay each month, learnt the word “tweak”, end of the day, I open my bill and I was asked to pay more than I received for a month day time job. How did it happen? I don’t know. So I decided to close it down, lost all my files, writings (didn’t made a back-up).
For now, I’m enjoying the free account. Kung mawala man, milyon milyon naman affected, I think the domain is good if you know how to maintain it, to handle it, to update it.

meron pa nga akong nabasa na post sa sikat na blogger e, unfair naman daw sa ibang nakalink sa kanya na mag-add sya ng mga nagrerequest ng link gayung mga nagbabayad ito ng link…tapos sya nanghihingi lang ng link? lol!
at higit sa lahat pala..kapag sumikat ang newbie blogger sana lapat pa rin sa lupa ang mga paa lol!

I actually tend to think that most of these kuliglig can’t handle our kind.The closest adage has to do with sense of humor I think.Some people simply can’t define it or simply too toopid to be hurt or to be offended.Ala kasi ang word funny sa diksyonaryo nila.lol

Ang maipapayo ng isang hitad na katulad ko eh, “Don’t take it seriously”….minsan kasi, pakiramdam natin sa blog umiikot ang ating mundo. Blog is there para kahit papaano ay may mapaghingahan tayo ng ating utot, este saloobin. Enjoy it, have fun!

On top of my head, here are my tips:
1. Have a theme for your blog. There should be some focus.
2. Content is king. It’s the soul of your blog and this is the reason why people will read you – if this is your goal.
3. Make the design of your blog really simple and catchy. Pop-ups, too colorful, too dim, too much glitters, automatic music, and all those confusing buttons and links are big turn-offs.
4. You must enjoy writing.
5. Don’t be sucked into the leave a comment on someone’s blog so in return you get a visit or comment – this is superficial. Go back to no. 2, if your content is good and the personality you portray online is interesting, people will visit you and leave comments.
5. Don’t let blogging control you. Its normal to miss a day or even a week of blogging. Remember you have a life to lead.
About that domain thing, amongst the many offerings blogspot should be fine. Its owned by Google so they won’t runaway anytime soon.
As for comments on my blog. I am too selfish to allow people to comment, (if people are truly interested in interacting with me about what I wrote they will email me) but then again there is my chatbox which limited as it may be, should suffice
